Ah, the same old Ash. Arrogant, opinionated and completely ignorant of what martial arts is all about. Maybe you just think they are arrogant because they are confident in what they know. You ask dozens of questions a month because you can't seem to find an art or school that will ever make anything out of you. They "can kick you before you punch them" is born from the idea that leg reach is better than arm reach (for striking). While not true in all cases, it is somewhat true.
When sparring Olympic style, we bounce and spring into our kicks. Our hands are down in Olympic style sparring because rules don't allow punches to the head. Change the rules, we (some of us actually) change our technique. Grab me and I will try a joint lock. Take me to the ground, and I will do everything I can to choke you out or break your arm. Throw a punch, I will swing right back. You need to quit confusing sport with art. So spar under my rules. See how far any of the MA's you spent a month or so in helps you out. Try and fight me, and there will be no rules.
I am against quitting so much that I won't even let my kids start something unless they can truly convince me that they want it. Really want it. But I think you should quit MA's. Going by the amount and content of the questions you ask, you seem like a hopeless case. Asking people a world away for help constantly when you are paying an instructor to teach you is ridiculous. I mean, the Y! answer section is here for that, but come on. Doesn't your instructor ever try and help you with anything? You obviously know nothing about humility. You can't spell for $hit. Your home life is in a shambles. So perhaps you should get those things in order so you can truly FOCUS on the art that ends up working for you. In my opinion, you are pretty much screwed until you do that. Until then, I guess I can start taking advantage of the free points. So thanks for the two I just got.
Retarded: slow or limited in intellectual or emotional development or academic progress (Kind of like a wanna be martial artist I know of)

Arrogant ppl are arrogant... Not all TKD people are arrogant.... the jumping around comes from TKD practitioners who are not very experienced (I don't care how many years.... you can learn math for 10 years but if the school never gets passed addition... you will never know calculus) the jumping around is to get your body in position to do the various different kicks TKD teaches... but an experienced practitioner will not need to do this... they will not move around as much, they will block hard (which can be taken advantage of be feints) and when they kick, they will make it count (they will wait until their body and your body is in the right position for the correct kick in their arsenal).... TKD is really not about this elaborate game of foot tag that it has become.. it is a shame... the hands down is because the fear of being punched is not in their training... it should be illegal to teach this way... while TKD does teach you how to punch very hard (really with a variety of hand strikes, it gets more in depth as you progress through the years) I must admit, that the punch defense is lacking quite a bit (or maybe I wasn't in it enough years), but please don't hate the art... it is the people who have let the art down, not the art that has let the people down...

Maybe because you only spar arrogant people...It's called common sense for your information. If you don't take Taekwondo and never did, don't criticize the art. What do you know about wasting energy? What do you know about "bopping" up and down with their hands down? "Bopping"? Is that what you call it? ROFL!!! Do you see any other fighting styles where you don't go "bopping" up and down? Do you see any martial art where they just stand there like idiots? No. I didn't think so. Maybe you should study the "art" of Taekwondo. Maybe you should try Taekwondo and experience it. Maybe you should be more familiar with the art. You're probably thinking, "Maybe you should just shut-up." I don't think so. Calling Taekwondo-ists retards? What kind of martials do you take? Standing-there-like-a-retard martial art? Keep your ignorant comments to yourself. Retard.

So stop talking and start walking...show them that they are doing it wrong instead of talking smack about them on the internet.
And I agree that the jumping around with the hands down is a poor way to defend yourself...and I'm a mostly TKD person. Hate to see that olympic type stuff because it is so ineffective.

TKS is a kicking art. So it stands to reason that they dont really use their hands all that much. Plus if you look at the Olympics, once you get close to your opponent you dont throw hands, only kicks. But the arrogance is a martial arts thing, I do shotokan. When I first started, I was a bit of an ******, but I changed. So ethier they will get really good, or become less arrogant
I got to be really good

This is a blanket statement that is by far not applicable to all TKD students. However, many people who go to McDojos (and TKD has more than it's fair share) are quite arrogant, and have no real viable skill in the martial arts.

I know a TKD blackbelt who got pummeled by a street fighter with zero martial arts training. If you knock them to the ground they cannot kick you, obviously.
I think that most Muay Thai fighters would eat a TKD fighter of equal talent for lunch. But that is just my opinion. Why I think that is that in Muay Thai they can effectively guard against the kick and deliver equally powerful kicks, punches, knees and elbows. As you can see it is similar to two guys fighting, one with a knife, the other with a knife, sword, brass knuckes, and a gun. Who do you think will win?

Yeah, Kick Boxers does that sometimes only to intimidate their opponents. But only from a distance that they would not get punched or kicked. Kick who first? There's a popular technique that always works against Tae Kwon Do fighters and it still is on the ring. Just get real close to them and they won't know what to do and just rush them with your punches from there.

i could no longer say for beneficial yet they are the two very linear, direct types. perhaps after a at an identical time as of being in that recommendations-set for combating it bleeds by using to impression the the remainder of your questioning. and then that gets exceeded down by employing instructors to scholars. in spite of everything if each and every thing you be responsive to approximately martial arts you have found out out of your sensei, and he tells you it relatively is the wonderful human beings will maximum in all probability have self belief them. in case you have chose to tutor them up basically pass in to a club and spar with them. once you're taking down human beings many grades above you scholars will start to understand their instructors perhaps are not the be all and end all. Re boxing for highway combating, what precisely do you do once you get taken to the floor? (it relatively is extremely in all probability in a highway combat challenge with doubtlessly greater advantageous than one opponent). i could say its large for a million on a million highway combating against an untrained opponent (i do no longer advise that for the period of an insulting way, in order that as that they wont be attacking your knees and so on with kicks as thats the 1st factor i could do against a boxer)
