learning, becoming?

I'm not talking about comfort or contentment or even happiness in the conventional meaning. I mean alive and in tune with ourselves and the world.

Did God put something in us that needs to grow toward a more complete state of being to be fulfilled?

Yes. I believe that we are here to experience, learn and grow ever closer to God. I view God as the pure energy of love that comes through experience and understanding.

Life by definition is growth, right? When something is alive it is physically always growing. When it stops growing, it's dead. The same thing for people spiritually. Stop becoming and you start coming undone.

The biologists tell us "use it or lose it." If you don't continuously work toward growth, you lose the ability to stay really alive the way God wants us to be.

We are not fully alive in mortality only in immortality. We have to go from death to life, we are on the road.....in the race to be run.

I think that's right. And I think that probably continues into the afterlife. When people get stagnant, that's when they start to become warped.
