Is there anything longer than this season? It make basketball seem short.

Nope, not yet though I am definitely ready for this season to be over. 36 points races really isn't all that many. The season only seems long because of the fact that they only race once a week with several off weekends. That makes it seem a lot longer than other sports as in other sports, teams play several times a week, which helps to make tha season seem shorter.

The season is pretty much over for all but 3 drivers, barring some incredible bad luck on the part of HMS.
Bowyer still has a remote chance of an upset, but the #24 and #48 would have to be abject failures with the final two races, which is not likely.
As far as basketball, I seldom watch the NBA until the playoffs, and never sit through an entire game unless i'm in actual attendance at the event.

Hey there is only 36 races on the cup season and there are what 160 basketball games.

It is long, but that's part of the appeal. I can just about completely shine on baseball, which was ruined years ago by Bud Selig. I can the early NBA season, which is worthless anyway and poisoned by stupid rule changes, that allow a guy who can't shoot from 10 feet out to be a superstar.
an the NFL just starts getting good right about mid-November.

they only have 1 race a week though
36 races isnt that much compared to how many games are played in a season of basketball and baseball

NASCAR is currently the longest sport season(aside from proffessional wreslting) It starts the 2nd week in febuary and ends in november. Then they have awards banquet 1st week in december, and testing in mid January....
In their "silly" season as they call it. Theres still testing, meetings,apprences. So Theres nothing longer then the NASCAR season.

Nope 2 races to go. They race from Feb to Nov. Very long season.
