Im so confused. I believe in God and I love him for giving me life and giving me my necesities but I just dont believe in most things the Bible says and I dont believe you need to go to church to prove your faith. I believe that you just need to be a good person and pray to him and love him. But everyone tells me I'm wrong, that Im going to burn in hell. One part of me tells me they are right and another tells me they are wrong. I dont know what to believe. My heart believes in what I believe but my head tells me to listen to the other people. I dont know what to do. Am I going to burn in hell for my beliefs??? Will God punish me?

You are completely on the right track. You will not go to hell for not going to church. Church doesn't prove faith. Lots of people without faith go to church all the time.

Many things in the bible are not actually true. You do not need to believe everything in the bible to go to heaven. I am proud of you for thinking for yourself and really seeking answers to important questions.

I believe in God. I believe God loves everybody. God would not send everyone to hell for not being part of a certain religion.

Keep up the good work.

I understand what you are saying. I used to be an atheist, but know I'm not sure what is really out there. I don't believe that you are going to hell. God knows that you are a wonderful person. Why do you have to go to church to fully be a christian? You don't. All church is, is a place to reinforce the Bible. Well seeing as how you don't belive in the Bible, there is no reason to go to church. If you practice being a good person everyday, there is no need for church. Also, the Bible is just a guideline (10 commandments) on being a good person. But most of the stuff is hard to apply in today's world.

If you love God, and believe Him, you will of course obey His commands. This is taught in the epistles of John.
In the scriptures, it also does say that we ought not to forsake the gathering together of ourselves for worship. Exactly where, I should know, but I am having great difficultry with my memory due to a health problem. It does say that though.
Gathering together has purposes for us...we encourage and edify each other. There is MUCH to be gained from doing so. And to worship together is SO wonderful! There is nothing like it on the Earth.
Being a good person won't do it. That's called good works.
According to the Bible, we are saved by God's grace. All we need do is have Jesus as our Savior. Repentence and faith!
It is SO easy. When you trust Jesus and give your self to Him, it begins a process of growth, spiritual growth. There's nothing to describe it I think adequately beyond the Bible.
As far as believing the Bible- how can anyone decide which parts to believe, and which not to? By what criteria?
You don't have to! It is ALL real!!!
An Almighty God can do ANYTHING!!! He can even preserve His words and their meanings for a mere few thousand years!

If you are for real then what you need is lots of prayer in your life daily. If you love God then you would take the Bible as the word of God. Its okay to have questions, how would we ever learn!

All that are Christians had to start from somewhere and that somewhere is with God. Ask for wisdom of His word, not only just for your self, but also for others who do not know Him,

This wisdom can help you find your way and help others to know God and to find Salvation.

If you can find a Church where the flowing of His Holy Spirit is there, then you will have such a desire that nothing or no one can keep you away.

You do not need to listen to everyone for Satan will send confusion, stay stable in the word of God and eventually Satan will leave you alone.

Above all Prayer.

Read Ephesians it’s a short book but powerful

Study the Holy Spirit

Pray to Jesus for help, confess your sins and ask the Lord to put you on a path toward him

God does not punish us for trying to understand his word. Acknowledge him and he will acknowledge you. Church is good in that you can fellowship with others; it’s a place to go to worship God. Find one that shares your interest. Don’t let people tell you you’re going to hell…this is God’s judgment not mans…Jesus came to preach the kingdom…study the kingdom, look for yourself in it.

You won't goto hell for not attending church...saved Christians have that promise from the Lord. Keep reading your Bible and have a personal relationship with the Lord...this is what is most important.

God bless you

The Bible says that to go to heaven and not eternal hell, you must believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again. Good deeds don't save. Works don't save. Being a good person doesn't save (because you've sinned at least once in your life). The only way to be saved is to believe the above about Jesus.

Do you believe?

God is not going to send you to hell for trying to work out your salvation. It would be in your best interests to trust that the Scriptures were written for your benefit. You do not have to understand them completely. Just read and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you. Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. One day at a time. Peace be with you.

Don't fear man. Only follow God.

Why don't you read scripture to see what it says? Read the gospels - read the very words of Christ and see what He has to say. I think you'll find that its not about church or showing off your faith; but it IS about believing the words of Christ (which means that you should believe in scripture) and letting Him be LORD over your life.

Please, if you have any questions or want to go into further detail about scripture, email me. I will do my best to help you.

God is the judge, not man.

Ask those folks to document, in the Bible, that you’ll go to hell for not going to church. They cannot do it. With people like that, you're better off not going to church, at least not their church.

if going to church makes you a christian, does going to a garage make you a car?..No.
you do not have to go to church to be a christian.
you need to have accepted jesus christ into your heart, and life, confessed you are a sinner, believe in him. follow after him. and love him. Just listen to God not man. Gods word tells you what to do. and if you dont understand pray that he will show you.
