Because it's either that, or she's very, VERY liberal re: her beliefs. I'm just not positive on which it is, exactly...

Thankth.

Everything that you mentioned, Peter, would apply here... along with drinking alcohol and not even bothering with that caffeine rule, among other things...

What do you mean by lapsed? I'm Mormon, you can tell me.

Hm.... interesting. Does she still go to church? Ooooooh, but she can get excomunnicated for the stuff she's doing , you'd better tell her that if she stll wants to take sacrament and stuff.

lol. Well, why does it matter? It's her choice, and if you aren't concerned about her spirituality,(which i know you aren't) then don't worry about it. lol. Send me an e-mail, I want to hear this.

I'm just concerned on why you're concerned is all. Don't then.

EDIT: Oh okay then. That makes a lot more sense. What I said. lol.

"lapsed" haha what does that mean exactly?

Edit: Probably what they call a "Jack Mormon." The term is used to describe a baptized member of Church who rarely or never practices the religion, but is still friendly toward the church. Alternatively, it can be used for someone that is of Mormon descent but unbaptized or non-religious.

My boyfriend is a prime example of this. He is really Mormon because he was raised that was and baptized as such. Other then that he doesn't go to church or follow any of the restrictions on alcohol or sex. Most people who were once Mormon remain Mormon even if they no longer are active in the church.

What do you mean liberal in her beliefs? Dressing immodestly, being promiscuous, skipping church?

I don't get it...some details would help.

--------------

Well there is no caffeine rule, but not people just don't drink it. *takes a sip of coca-cola* I on the other hand have no problem with caffeinated drinks.

Anyway, it seems she has "lapsed" if you want to call it that. But of course all people go through their rebellion stage, but she'll settle down eventually...all teenage partiers realize one day they're too old to be alcoholics and sluts and stop lol.

Um...there is no "caffeine rule" for the record. It falls into the same category as twinkles. Not good for you, but not a sin either.

Sounds like you need to talk to her. Chances are she has not changed much, but rather your perception of her has. It's very possible she was going through the motions before, and now she feels the same way, but not as actively going through the motions.

If you leave this to my imagination then she's a very lapsed, liberal Mormon.

You can't beat a lapsed Catholic girl, no matter what. Me: former Catholic

LOL!

You'll never know if she has lapsed or not until you make your move. If successful, there's been a lapse, if not, gin is a good way to kick off the lapse.

Does she give it up without even the least bit of "I'm a good girl" resistance?
If yes, lapsed.

If you are dating her, it seems the best way to find out the answer to your question is to ask her. and to have a good conversation about your mutual religious attitudes.

I grew up Mormon. But came to my senses. I met lots of nice Mormon girls that were quite naughty. You never know with them, they are taught to fake like they are perfect from birth so you can never tell what they are really like.
