If there is a god, why would he want us to wear silly hats? It doesn't make sense, or am I crazy?

It doesn't make sense to you because you don't know enough about the background or history of these religions to know why they cover their heads in these ways.

It may not be their belief that God wants them to wear this or that. It may just be that a particular culture chooses to show respect for God in a particular way. As you seem to have no background in spirituality and you seem to have no innate sense of respect, you will find this difficult to comprehend. Personally, I find it silly that some people wear cowboy hats. But its just a cultural difference and I accept that.

You should enjoy the diversity of our species and stop labeling. You'll become a richer person for it.

Terms like "silly" and "strange" are entirely subjective.

What seems silly and strange to you may not seem that way to the next fellow. If you do a little research, you may find that there's some sort of real meaning behind the headgear that people choose to wear.

I think the hats are interesting and some look cool. I find it silly when people walk around with their pants falling down. Fashion is weird.

WE have developed our sense to modern living just in half a century starting from the end of WWII and let these may continue for a century or more and so long people are not affected by such practice, we have to allow them to go their way!

Isn't it obvious?

Catintherubberhat is proof enough that we are here as entertainment for the Gods and happily for each other. Silly hats are GREAT!

women are supposed to hjave their heads covered during the lords table (communion) as a sign of respect to god and her husband. You do not have to wear a hat it could be a peice of lace or a head scarf. the only time i wear a hat is either to protect my head from the sun or when i want to keep it warm. although i would wear one for communion as a christian woman should

I don't find it silly, not that I wear a hat as part of my religion.

I wouldn't say it's any more silly than people getting tattoos all over their body because celebrities get them, or people on TV have them, or because they see people in magazines with them.

It is just a part of ceremony and that is just history, I respect history. Are you making fun of the american indian and his clothing or head dress? that is a part of tradition that has been a part of his history as far back as they have known, so those silly things you find funny are just an important part of their heritage.

jewish men can wear any type of head cover they want. it's basically to remind people that there's something above them.
i just think it's meant to block your crown chakra.
