when u meet for the first time why do they think they have you pegged at the first site? back then when they had no computers and studies like my parents they met and just built a relationship. there was no such thing as the chemistry or even looks. im at least not picky. im always ready to give it a chance.

Welcome to the 21st century! Back in our parents day the focus was on finding a good provider and potential father for women, and finding a good homemaker and potential mother for men. Also, they didn't have the internet, they had a few singles in their social circle at school or around town to choose from.
Nowadays women have more options and are looking for more. Keep in mind a lot of people don't need to evaluate you for more than a short time to know if there is potential chemistry there. Myself, I can tell within 30 minutes of a first date if the person has potential or not. It might not take much for a woman to make that determination. Women today are extremely picky becuase of the access to many potential partners via the internet. They don't have to settle, they can flter through hundreds of potentials and reject the ones that don't fit their ideal.
And don't dismiss the importance of chemistry! A lifelong bond is built of many layers. Physical attraction is very important to most people. Common interests are another important factor. If she's a talker and you're the strong, silent type? No match! She wants converation and you can't give it.
It's important to establish "deal breakers" ahead of time. If she wants kids and you don't, she won't be interested. If you're an outdoorsy sports type and she's a couch potato, again the match isn't there.

Boy do you live in a dream world. So you say your parents just met and built a relationship and that there was no such thing as chemistry or looks. Wrong, wrong, wrong. We all have standards which we want the other person to meet. So do you.

Then that person is not for you why do you care if they are picky? You should read that as a red flag because who wants to be put underneath a microscope and analyzed like that. Not me I want to hang out with someone who is kind and laid back. So if they do that move on the next one.The right women will come along just don't settle and don't assume its about you.

Well...im sorry to say but you shouldn't meet if all you do is talk on the computer..thats dumb..yea you may be an adult but i mean still go out and find someone IN PERSON and talk to them and you can build a relationship like that

I personally don't meet people I've chatted online with, unless I knew them in person first. I guess I'm a cynic when it comes to chat rooms and the like. I prefer to actually meet people in person first and see what happens.
