CATHOLICS DO NOT WORSHIP MARY

Sorry I had to shout that, but already a few ignorant people have posted a lie about the Catholic Church. Obviously, they have never read the Catechism or taken time to understand this religion.

Some Protestants have so greatly misunderstood Catholic teaching about the Virgin Mary that they have ignored her altogether even though it is clear in Scripture she had a very important role in life of her Son, Jesus.

"For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." - Luke 1:48

"Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women" - Luke 1:28

Pax Vobiscum+

Veritas, I was a Catholic, I went through years and years of chatechism, was top of my class and asked to teach a class at an earlier age than most because I was so knowledgeable!

Mary worship is rampnat in the church- carrying her statue around town, kissing the feet of her statue and praying to Mary is worship. You can justify it all you want but that is what it is. THe idea that Mary was sinless, that she ascended into heaven and did not die are not anywhere near Biblicla ideas. A little reseach will show that Mary worship is nothing more than an extension of the pagan worship of Diana

While it is true that because of this, many Protestants will throw out the baby with the bathwater and completely ignore Mary. Yes, she was called blessed, but shall we go through the Bible and count how many women of faith, sinners who needed a savior were called blessed? All, including us, who believe and make Jesus lord over their lives are called blessed. While we should desire to have the faith and obedience Mary had, we should recognize that she was a mere mortal who needed and knew she needed a savior and our eyes should be on Jesus, not Mary.

I love her just as I would any other human but Mary isn't the Savior. Mary wasn't sinless in all things. Mary didn't die on the cross because of our sins. Mary didn't arise from the dead 3 day after she died. Only throught Jesus Christ can you obtain salvation, not through Mary.
