Not if it means that the child might have a better life. It's also better than an abortion. I have several friends who were adopted from birth and they've grown up just as well as anyone living with their birth family. I think God would prefer that everyone wait until they're married so that they can have their children as part of a family unit and not have to worry about adoption, but if you don't do it that way, adoption is better then abortion.

i do not think it would be against gods will if it is in the best interest of the child. sometimes it is better to love a child and give it away to a good home because you cannot look after it properly. but if you can i would keep it as 9 times out of 10 a child is better with it's natural parent.

Great question. I would suspect that much like any other matter, God will judge based on the motives of the individual, the hidden intents that reside in their heart.
Some motives are clearly selfish, some may only seem to be, still others are not selfish at all.
Only by looking deeply inside oneself with all honesty can anyone know the real motive. No one else can say but that person, and God.

Gods will for you is only for you, only you can ultimately make that decision
I speak from experience, i have a 13 year old son, that i haven't seen since he was born, because i gave him up for adoption.
As i look back with great regret i realize he was a gift from God, and i made a terrible mistake, a mistake i cant fix.
the relationship Ive lost out on, is far greater than my own personal freedom , social standing or economic place in this world. in my opinion i think that it is against gods will

Well, when you give your child up for adoption, who will receive it? Will it be some family who is God fearing? Will it be some same sex couple? Will it be some famous actor who embraces scienctology? Pretty much a crap shoot I think. I often think of Jesus's parables they covered alot of areas in life. If the tree is known by its fruit, and you give that fruit away before it is ripe, what is to be said of that tree? If the love of Jesus is a gift, and want to share that gift, who would you want to share it with the most? Christ said to love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul, also to do to others as you would have them do unto you. Would you want your Father giving you away? I can't really answer with 100% certainty that this is wrong, but i'm going to go with 80% certainty and say it isn't right.

after reading some answers i like to change mine to what nemesis7 said :) can i do that?

Its not against God's will because adoption is better than abortion. Abortion is against God's will. Adoption is for people who know they cannot look after that baby properly. I believe in adoption.

No, not if that person was not able to take care of the child. It would be a great sacrifice to give up ones child and very admirable.

If there was extraneous reasons: then no I wouldn't of thought it would be against God's will - abortion is going against God's will for sure.
