We want to do them ourselves and so I was wondering:
What you would suggest using to hold the place card.

1. Our Color is Blue Velvet and we are accenting it with pink flowers. We are thinking a white card with Blue lettering.

2. The item has to be cheap due to budget constraints.

Thank you for your help!

I agree with the previous poster, in that you can simply fold the cards in half, and they'll make a little tent that stands up on its own.

Also, if you're having a plated meal (as opposed to buffet), you may want to check with the facility/caterer, to see if they have requirements for how these are laid out. It might be an important factor for them in delivering the right meal to the right person.

You can accent your place cards with embelishmenst such as flat backed pearls or rhinestones (they come in so many colors) and look stunning. The finished product is gorgeous and your guest will think you spent a fortune.

Ask your venue first if they provided holders, because a lot of places do. But you don't have to use holders, just fold them, use a nice card stock paper so they stand up nice.

I think these mini chairs are so cute!!! you can add chocolate kisses inside the box and even add blue velvet ribbon to tie around the box.

You really do not need anything to hold the place cards. They can be folded into a tent and hold themselves up.
