Most likely, you'll have to have them done. You can ask another dentist to take a look at your teeth. It is possible that you can get away with regular fillings in some of them for a few years, if infection is not too close to the nerve, but usually in this case they warn you that you're likely to have a root canal done very soon anyway. I have a tooth like this, and it survives with regular filling for 4 years already.
You should definitely go ahead and do the worst teeth at least. You don't have that much time. You risk losing them otherwise.

It really depends on the teeth. Despite what most media says out there, root canals are not that bad if you have a good dentist (I've had 7). Other options do include having a tooth pulled, but if it happens to be a front tooth you also then have to consider a fake tooth (post & crown) which will increase your cost quite a bit. Most dentists also don't like having missing molars inbetween teeth as they tend to shift causing more dental problems in the future. Go for the root canal, take some good music and a set of headphones, enjoy the nitrous oxide.

Yes you can have the tooth pulled out. That is your only option. You have decay into the nerve area of the tooth, when the nerve is damaged it will become infected and the nerve needs to be removed that is a root canal. If you choose to ignore this you will get a massive infection that will swell your face out like a golf ball on one side. This can become dangerous. I have seen this over and over. Personally I would get the Root Canal.

I work at a dental school, so I might be a bit biased on this, but I suggest that you trust your dentist. If he/she tells you you need root canals, then you need root canals. A holistic dentist will do nothing for you, and your teeth will become infected and you'll lose them eventually. Trust me, go to your dentist before your insurance runs out.

have them pulled. the stuff they use to fill your teeth when they do a root canal does not stay on there fore very long. After 6months mine was starting to come out and after a year i was left with a hole on my tooth again.

Finally got the thing pulled a few months ago. I was the worst pain i had ever been in and it bled for a couple of days but i'd rather have that then whats left of a root canal. Now i can chew on that side again, I do have to be careful eating stuff like chips because they are sharp & pointy

ugh.

take it from someone terrified of dentists who had to undergo emergency root canal cuppla mnths back, rootcanal is a much better n less scary option.

just take something to cover yr eyes n just try to relax which i cldnt do but tried n itll be over quicker than u expect

dont be scared and also if u press a clove where it hurts tht provides herbal relief just bite on it its gross yeh but the pain goes away swear itdoes
