Jesus told us that in the Father's house are many mansions. But to get there he said that He and only He is the Way. That no one comes to the Father but by Him... Are the other answers saying the Jesus Christ was evil? IHS Jim

I firmly believe that anyone who does not believe the way exactly I believe, will in no way be tortured to eternity and he would also be judged not just by faith but by his good and honest living on Earth!

So, a non-believer could still be a good person helping the poor and needy, truthful, honest, decent, trustworthy, lovable and humanistic to all social issues etc!

Those who do have a pretty sick view of God's character.

Imagine if you will a loving father pouring gasoline on his child and lighting them on fire. Imagine the loving father watching the child burn and scream in agony, not for minutes, weeks or even years but for Ions, forever. Imagine the loving father shutting the door and walking away. Some people really like the idea of the wicked burning in agony for eternity, but I just can't see God enjoying that. Our God is a God of justice and mercy.

I do. As Jean Paul Sartre wrote, "Hell is other people."

Those with strong opinions will be subject to the torture of knowing others disagree with them.

Too philosophical for you?

Thank you for the thumbs down. You only prove my point.

I'm not arrogant enough to believe that my answer is the only possible correct answer! God comes to us all in many ways, so I may not have the full story, or they may just be doing what God wants them to do.

Maybe you will be tortured (go to hell) only if you believe you will be.

If so, those who teach hell are the real evil.
