It gives you something to do while walking keeping your mind busy instead of being blank
you should also start doubling numbers as far as you can
like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 etc...
it's a good brain exercise or you could also start counting backwards or you could also try squaring every number as far as you can...

I do the same thing, I have OCD. I also count numbers and words, try to find patterns in them etc.
Do you have a germ issue? You might want to check out OCD online - ask your doc. It's very manageable with therapy and meds if it becomes bothersome.

Could be an OCD behavior, but the internet really can't diagnose you or tell you why you do it. The best course of action, if you are worried is to consult a specialist. Best of luck.

Many people have unusual, sometimes weird habbits. UNLESS they are affecting you to perform normaly in your daily life, I wouldn't worry about it.
According to psychologists that I know, OCDs are only problem and need treatment, IF and WHEN it prevents from persons to do normal day-to-day functions.

DO you have OCD? That is one of the symptoms, but only if you can't stop doing it.
