Thanksgiving is coming up and I was wondering what we could do besides eat, watch the parades, races and play card games. We have 3 generations so we need either several things or something everyone can do. Your ideas are really appreciated.

thanksgiving games for the little ones, especially games that the adults can encourage them in, or watch them play can be fun, as well as organizing a play by the kids for the adults to watch. also, it's about celebrating and being thankful, not just the food and the parades, turn it into a meaningful celebration, have some original games, created just for the family, as far as the food, try to get everyone involved in making really interesting, old fashioned, recipies, something they can share, and to get them in the spirit.
I hope those help

Well, the thanksgiving meal of course, is the focus of the holiday, although prayer and thankfulness should play a more important part. I've always felt kinda sorry for thanksgiving, since it is squashed between halloween and christmas, and doesn't get the publicity those other holidays get. Anyway, men probably enjoy football games that are on thanksgiving, and the women can have a makeup party or have a wardrobe trade. That's when they bring clothes they have gotten tired of, and everybody trades and picks out their favorites. There are lots of games the kids can play, either board games like monopoly or checkers, or computer games that are fun and not too violent. Some people draw names for christmas, or start making plans for that holiday. Charades is fun for all age groups. Use your imagination, and I'm sure you can come up with a lot of ideas. Now, pass the drumsticks and have fun!

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in my country (i think it's a great idea though)
Not sure what you could do.
Perhaps go on a big family picnic.
Play outdoor games, throw a ball around, play some football.
Happy Thanksgiving!

There are all kinds of web sites and books about office and adult parties. I suggest charades. Put the name of a famous person on a piece of sticky paper and put it on each guests forehead. They can't see it. They can ask questions that can only be answered by yes and no and they try to guess who they are.
Karaoke is also a good one.
I get some cheap little gifts to give out to the winners of each game.
You may also consider a slide show or family home movies.

How is the weather where you are? I live in Florida and it is still warm enough for outdoor activities like softball, volleyball, horseshoes, badmitton, and such.
Indoor suggestions are karaoke, bowling, Trivial Pursuit, you could have a scavenger hunt for the children with prizes at the end for everyone, charades.
Have everyone bring a baby picture of themselves and you can try to "guess the baby".

Party game. When someone shows up tape the name of a movie character (or historical character) to their back. Don't let them see who they are. Then tell them to go around asking people things about their character and see who can guess their character first. It is actually a lot of fun and everyone can participate. (obviously for the little ones cartoon characters are best)
