In light of the recent investigations on the Word of Faith ministers (Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, etc) why won't they also investigate Fred Phelps, the creator of the website www.godhatesfags.com? If you ask me, this psycho is a LOT more dangerous than the Word of Faith camp. Why don't they try to find out what the heck this nut is up to?

All they need to do is look at his websites...

He LOVES to publicize what he is up to. He even cheers for the $10.9 Million Dollar verdict against the WBC as he feels it publicizes him.

I agree with you that he is more dangerous on an individual level than any of the others, but as he WANTS publicity to use as a way to characterize himself as a martyr, he is at least more transparant than some of the others

They're investigating the finances of those ministers, because they're claiming tax-exempt status, and then using the money to buy mansions and luxury cars and vacation homes.
They know where Fred Phelps gets his money from, so they don't need to really "investigate" him for finances. He's not really rich, either.
As for "what he's up to", believe me, they're watching him. He's very careful to do everything within the confines of the law. He put all his kids through law school, so they're all lawyers and know exactly where the line is that they can cross.

Anyone who looks at Fred Phelps can see that the man has no idea of what it truly means to be a Christian. He doesn't appear to have any love in his heart for his fellow man.

Who says anyone isn't.

The difference is, it's pretty obvious Phelps is psycho. Those other characters have a lot of power and control (or more specifically "control over") a lot of people which is extremely dangerous.

Amazing but I think he looks like Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man) from the Phantasm movies

He's finished anyway. He recently lost something in the neighborhood of 10 million for his antics.

He doesn't have 10 million. He's sunk.

And Kevin Smith is making a movie inspired by him.

Because Fred Phelp's followers are limited to his family...

Lol, he's a joke

Anyone who is of Christ hears his voice, and knows him. If you believe, and possess the spirit, you can easily tell that the Westboro Baptists are not of the same spirit. No investigation is needed.

He's not dangerous. In a weird way he promotes tolerance. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Everyone is his enemy. I wonder if that's what he's trying for.......... cos no one can seriously be that stupid! Would you want your views associated with his!? Therefore people automatically take his opposite view.
