Seems like I heard something like this referenced in the radio once, and I don't remember what it was called. Curious if there is a formal religion that reconciles and "merges" the three faiths? (outside of unitarianism, that sortof fuses everything, I guess.)

Just curious. Serious answers please. Thanks.

Probably, but who cares what self-centered people want?

Unitarian Universalism and reformed Vedanta, to name 2 common modern-day religions amond others, believe that all religions are valid and accept elements of those religions as true. They don't split hairs about ideologies or nit pick through scripture to validate one thing and discredit another. They believe that the various religions are just so many different ways of expressing the same idea and thus are equally valid and ultimately lead to the same goal.

Furthermore, anyone who has academically studied religion or has an interest in comparative spirituality will be shocked and amazed at the parallel ideas and similar templates of ideas. The similarities far outweigh the differences.

You are mis-informed on Unitarianism. It does no such thing as calling Judaism, Christianity & Islam one religion. Unitarian-Universalists simply worship together. In the Unitarian Church people from any religion are accepted to come together and worship as one congregation, but that doesn't mean they are merging all thier faiths into one religion. Their individual religios beliefs may be different and unique. Get it?

Unitarians don't really do that. It basically just brings religious liberals and atheists who want something spiritual together, which has lead to the church to split 3 times due to many disagreeing with this practice.

You will find this religion within yourself. From the moment that our souls were created, by the gift of God, the truth of all things has been within our souls waiting to be awakened. Once awakened, the Holy Spirit illuminates a path of expanded consciousness that is innately known by the soul as truth. All of these religions, when practiced by one who is guided by their true inner light or Holy Spirit, illuminates a true path to God. All of these paths converge on the same point and when that point is reached it disappears into the infinite joy of reunion with the Eternal One God.

Only one suffering a compleat lack of understanding of The Truth would concider that they could do such a thing.... there is absolutly no way to reconcile islam with either Judaism or The True Christian Faith... Those of The Church(those of The True Christian Faith) are the only ones who will enter Heaven... The Nation of Israel(the Jews) are God's chosen people....

Islam is a deception of satan.... and can never be "reconciled" with any one not also so deceived.

It's called "new age", and it's nothing more than the spirit of the anti-crhist.

Chrsitianity can not be reconciled with any other religion because the very tenet of faith is based on the words of Jesus, and Jesus said "I am Truth. No man comes to the Father but by me" and "You are either with me, or you are against me", and "Because you are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm (ie wishy-washy), I will spew you out!"

So, Jesus claims to be VERY exclusive.

In his famous book Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis makes this statement, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us."

This leaves Christianity in a very precarious position - either it is the ONLY true religion, or it is the only FALSE religion, but you can not have Christianity alongside ANY thing else on EITHER side of the line - it stands alone.

Hmm.

Curious.

Christianity accepts, embraces and rejoices in the divine nature of Jesus, Son of the one true God. We believe that He is the path to forgiveness of sin and salvation of the eternal soul (covenant of the New Testament).

islam denies and rejects the divine nature of Jesus. In so doing, I believe that it therefore denies and rejects God Himself.

Just HOW would you "reconcile" these two completely opposing and incompatible positions? I don't believe that anyone can.

Just make up your own word for your ideas. I'm a Christian witch (mixture of Christianity (Catholic and Protestant), Wicca, some ancient Asianic beliefs, and witchcraft/new age-ism).

Like call yourself a Isla-Jewstian or something like that, lol. It gets people's attention.

No.

Modernists want to try, but we are too radically different to do so.

Besides, we will not be changed by some loser who doesn't even believe the full story.

Would you?

they don't need to be "reconciled" as all three are considered to be Abrahamic religions, as they all worship the God of Abraham.
