i am a uncle and is it normal for the father of my 2 nieces age 10 and 4 to give them bath's?

i asked the first question,but i did'nt ask it right .when i confronted my brother in law and my sister they say i need to mind my own business now i want to kick his *** .

Its normal for a father or a mother to give a 4 year old a bath but its far from normal for any parent to give a 10 yr old a bath.Unless the 10 year old is disabled.At age 10 they should have some privacy in the bathroom thats just sick. I would make a report on that .I dont think there is anything wrong with a father helping with the 4 year old sometimes its hard for the mother to always do it but its really not normal for the mom or dad to be in the bathroom with a 10 yr old child

A 10 year old is more than capable of bathing them-self with out help from anyone. At ten, a girl needs a little privacy and it is probably a little odd or strange to for a male to be bathing her at the very least.
Most kids can bathe themselves between 6 and 8 years old.

The 10yr old, definitely not.
The 4yr old....only as a last resort because mom's not home or they're in a huge rush and mom's still getting ready....etc. Just so you'll know I certainly see where your coming from! It IS inappropriate. I would make good with them both so you can be around the family and keep a close eye on what's going on. If there is more to this then you would have a better chance of getting clues.

He is their father but the 10 yr old should be able to bathe herself. I see no problem with him bathing the 4 year old unless you know something I don't know. If you have reason to believe there is more going on than just a bath then you need to call the authorities.

Yes, it's normal. Poppa should probably begin backing off doing it to the 10-year-old, but hey - I gave my daughters baths until they were five years old; after that I simply sat and watched while they took their own baths until they were seven, and then I said to them and their mother that it was time for them to be allowed to bathe alone and their mother would be the one to check that they had washed "behind their ears" and all the rest.
You probably would do well to mind your own business, unless you are quite certain that there's actual abuse going on - in which case you are legally bound to report it to the authorities - and don't be surprised if they never speak to you again. The girls' welfare comes first, always.

Age 4 is probably okay, but 10 is a bit old. She should be doing it herself. My daughter is 11, and I can't imagine her father bathing her. I would have a huge problem with that.....she needs her privacy, especially now that she is nearing puberty. I, as a mother, would be uncomfortable bathing my daughter at that age, I can't imagine being a father and doing it. Kinda weird.

The 4 year old maybe, but the 10 year old absolutely not.
Just keep an eye on the kids and you can only do that by keeping peace with the family. If you learn something inappropriate is going on then act upon it as I'm sure you will.

Both 4 and 10 yr. olds are capable of bathing theirselves. Granted a 4 yr. old might need help washing her hair, but her sister could help with that if a parent isn't around.

10 yr olds should be giving themselfs baths they should also not be seen naked by any man even there father. my step daughter sometimes asks for her dad's help in the shower at our house but i don't allow it or my husband i always help with whatever she needs. she's 9yrs but a little slow minded. and 4 yr olds sometimes need help.
