It means if a woman fears the Lords words she will behave in a certain upstanding way. Thus she will gain praise and respect for acting like the Lords definition of a lady. Now I would have said "A person who LOVES the Lord IS praised.". But thats just me%@

We should all the fear the Lord, in the retrospect, we know that God can do anything, and that we should be following His will, Did we fear our parents when we were young, yes cuz we did not want to be grounded and such, well our parents probably had rules so we wouldn't get hurt, why because they love us, well God has commandments and a plan so that we won't get hurt, Because God loves us with an even greater immense love, we could conceive yet, God knows what will happen if we go against the plan, and God loves us so much, that these laws are in place, God sent Jesus Christ to the cross to save us, even though we don't always listen, thats How Much God loves us, How much Christ loves us, and had mercy upon us.

the word 'fears' doesn't mean being scared. It means to reverence and hold in high respect. A good paraphrase might be, "A woman who holds God in high respect and reverences Him above all else will receive praise and compliments from the Lord, and others will see her as a godly woman"
