As a Gunsmith, I would suggest you take your shotgun to a Gunsmith in your area and have him/her make you a replacement. It needs to be made and *fitted , but it won't be expensive (About $20) and at the same time you should invest a few more dollars and get the firing pin spring replaced. If you have an idea as far as who manufactured your shotgun, then as SLIM already suggested, Numrich Gun Parts Corporation in West Hurley, New York would be a good place to check..They have the website : e-gunparts.com or they can be reached by phone: Customer Service Inquiries at (845)679-4867 or Toll Free 866-NUMRICH Good Luck

JD is referring to the fact that you make the firing pin a little long and then "fit" it so the correct amount of pin is protruding when the hammer hits it. Too much and you get pierced primers. Not enough and you have misfires. It takes many tries to "fit" the firing pin to the individual shotgun.
I would add on this question, Please tell us what type of action your shotgun has. Is it a bolt action, break action, or dropping block action? And if a bolt action and it was made on an old Mauser bolt action after the war then I would advise you to not even think about fixing it. Most of the converted to shotgun Mausers also had the receiver bored out to accommodate the large shot shell and that reduces their safety potential.

particular, there are even some single shot 20 gauge shotguns that have rifled slug barrels. they are basically no longer almost as basic as rifled barrels for pumps, and are way much less basic than 12 gauge rifled barrels. H&R shotguns would be obtained with a three a million/2" chamber and a rifled barrel. I even have in no way seen one although. There are additionally some companies that'll rechamber a rifled slug barrel for the three a million/2" slugs. as a results of fact of magazine and action lengths of economic 20 gauges, i think of all the three a million/2" weapons are single photos.

Any idea on the brand? Got a pic?

Hard to answer your question without knowing what the question really is.

"Firing pin made and fitted...."? That one's got me stumped.
