Google enlightenment. You know nirvana, all that good stuff. Google self-actualization. Use Abraham Maslow's definition. Come on now!

I know if you say you are then you defeat the purpose. But for seriousness's sake, let's just fess up. And the buddhist way is the general way, if you take all the fluff out of the religion.

Yes, I am enlightened. I haven't heard of the term self-actualized, so I cannot tell you if I am, which does not mean that I am not.

I am looking for other enligtened myself, to do what needs to be done. Let me know if you want to get involved.

Trouble is that enlightened people tend to stay away from boasting or pride.

Also, enlightenment involves a complete Ego-death (non-attachment) where self-actualization involves bringing the Ego into a healthy state (healthy attachment).

I am not enlightened in the Buddhist sense, but I do believe I am self-actualized and individuated (Jung's term.

Ive examine alot of non secular books, and interior the tip have come to treat the term enlightenment as a bull$hit term. we are all already enlightened, all of us have the comparable spark of understanding, the comparable understanding. while so stated as enlightened human beings talk approximately how all is definitely and that each and every thing is a factor of the conventional plan, they forget approximately that if it relatively is the case, then so is all discomfort, suffering and violence. The discomfort we adventure is a factor of that grand scheme.

I've learned to run screaming in the opposite direction from anyone who claims to be enlightened. And if you've scrolled through enough Q&As on Yahoo Answers you will know that no one--possibly with the exception of myself, the talking donkey, and the little white kitten--is anywhere near enlightened on this site.

Those terms are very subjective and personal. What is your idea of enlightened or self actualized. I'm sure our ideas of what these truly mean are different. Be more specific about what you feel enlightened means.

I may be one of the two or perhaps both. I believe that I am enlightened but I know that I am actually myself.
