I have been to Rio and Pattaya, Rio in 1985 and Pattaya in 2006. I have not been to Cebu. With the language difference I would not go Rio and it's pretty dangerous. Cebu is okay, but, I would not go there, even the locals say not to go there because of the problems with the muslims and the economy in general. That leaves Pattaya or other parts of Thailand including Bangkok. There is Manila, Philippines too. Between the Bangkok, Pattaya, and Manila, I would visit and feel relatively safe traveling alone.

If you don't meet them online prior to arriving, the kind of woman you will likely meet is a prositute or bar girl. Those looking to meet foreigners with money. Those willing to engage in sex.

For a nice local girl in either country, you would have to be introduced by friends or happen to meet them online. Contrary to popular belief, Thai ladies and Filipina ladies are quite old fashioned and a bit shy. So, it can be a process. Communicating online and via telephone. Meeting them in their countries and dating. But, you better be sure about them, once they like you, they are hard to get rid of sometimes. Loyal to the end.

In Thailand, it is the easier way to meet ladies.

Philippines in the Visayas region (middle)

Both places have nightlife, many nice resturants and an abundance of women.

Cebu is too dirty,crowded and expensive.
Phattaya has nothing but pro's and the beach is a cesspool.
Rio ? Language barrier could be a big problem like Thailand.

Like said above, Thai and Filipinas are usually very conservative and do not engage in promiscuous behaviour, and not the type of girls you will find around the bar scene. The only way to meet a decent Thai or Filipina (not that bar girls are not decent, some are indeed very nice, and are in that environment due to sad circumstances...) is to be introduced by friends or relatives, and it's not alway easy. On dating sites, I would venture to say that most women are decent, with some exceptions of course, and most are looking for a serious long-term relationship and marriage rather than a short term fling or sexual encounter.

if u really want a trusted one, choose a girl like a filipina. they really good partner when it comes to family. i wud recommend cebu, philippines.
