First question: Assuming that you are referring to the Trinity, I think you are oversimplifying. If you really want an equation, I would suggest that 1 x 1 x 1 = 1 would make more sense. The only inconsistancy here is the HUMAN element in the equation--we simply cannot comprehend the nature of an infinite Being. Christianity teaches the doctrine of the Trinity in an attempt to understand how God has been revealed to humankind, not to try to define the Diety.
On a human scale, we experience similar difficulties: some people know me at work, some as an artist, or a dancer; you are experiencing a facet of my being as you read this--but none of these define me, even collectively you could not say that you grasp much more than my general character. You don't even know what I look like.
Given all this, would you say that I am several people? It may seem so, but I can tell you there's only one of me.

Second question: Although Islam offers some wisdom and insight, and some ideas that I intend to study further, on balance I would liken it to finding a vein of gold. That's well and good, but I seek the motherlode, and in my opinion, the pure ore is found in Christ.

Islam came 3rd after Judaism & Christianity.

Mohommed wanted to multiply to make his religion grow fast , so he decided men can have more than one wife so he could spread his seeds. Why start a religion that revolves around man being #1 because he wanted many women that he does not treat respectfully.

Does this make sense in your mind?

Islam is very inconsistant & you already know this. Thats why your asking.

If you want a god you can understand go carve a rock or tree and worship it. The Koran has Jesus being born of a virgin and doing miracles something the prophet couldn't do... so if the Bible says that there is God, The Holy Spirit and Jesus and they are one then I may not understand it completely but I will take the God that is real and that loved us enough to send his son to pay for our sins. I can't ask for anything more than a God that loves us that much.

"Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it." - Prof. C.S. Lewis

"Now is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It won't last forever. We must take it or leave it." - Prof. C.S. Lewis

P.S. There are many prophecies in the book it Isaiah about Jesus's coming and the Muslims call him Isa... the short form for Isaiah when writing Bible quotes...hmmm.

While the concept of the Trinity is important to many Christians, it is not essential to Christianity itself. There are Unitarian Christians, either because their denomination does not believe in the Trinity, or because the individual worshiper does not accept the belief.

So, while Islam might be free of this inconsistency, so are many Christians.

Ok, even as an atheist, the concept of the trinity isn't that difficult to understand. A woman is a daughter, a mother, and a wife...all the same person, but three different aspects of her. Does a wife + daughter + mother = 3 or 1?

I don't believe in it existence of a god, but I've never really understood why this concept is so difficult to grasp.

God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

Your religion is satanic, it demoralises people, people are able to twist your religion to their own ends and kill people thru terrorist attacks

your religion was the work of a fallen angel that pretended to be Gabriel and ordered Mohammed to write the quran or else he would kill him, it was then "assumed" by his wife that it MUST have been gabriel!! What angel threaten you with death by choking unless you do as it is told?? It was evil and so is your religion!!

But the majority of muslims are not evil

Carl Sagan, I think, once wrote an analogy of a 3 dimensional creature appearing in a 2 dimensional world. The 2-D people had no idea that the 3-D person, represented by an apple, was actually one object instead of 4.
