I've seen this guy around and he's just not worth it. Not him. Not imasis2. Not Oregon Flower. And not any of the others who have been around but continue to change their avatars so as not to raise suspicions. I applaud you for standing up for your beliefs but I have to believe you've got better things to do with your time than to consistently try to fight demons that are determined not to go away. I say the best defense is to ignore them. They're like bullies who like to get a rise out of people, kind of like an older brother who won't stop poking even though dad threatened to turn the car around and go home. They're not going to listen. But maybe that's just me.

Usually because there are more people involved that just the asker and Mormons. Meat Bot usually asks valid questions (not all the time) that can be misleading. I usually try to answer for the benefit of those that might read it later. If it goes unanswered by any Mormon than people will think that the insinuations made in the question are correct and we don't have answers. Remember all the LDS commercials that say "Ask your Mormon neighbor"? Well, their asking, we need to answer.

Sometimes the facts need to be set straight. He thinks he tells the truth but he lies. "Magical" is the lie. And like the anti-christs of the Book of Mormon, he knows it's a lie.

If Meat Bot had a wife who I thought was the town whore because I saw her coming out of Fred's house, yet Meat Bot would not believe it because he knows the truth, then I could ask a question such as...Why does Mrs. Meat Bot walk around town shaking her toosh? or Why does Mrs. Meat Bot wear revealing clothes?

I don't want an answer. I just want Meat Bot to know the "truth" about his wife and I want others to know about Meat Bot's wife.

I agree with the senator. I hate it when they call us liars and say we come up short with answers. So if I can show the answer, somone will know that I know my stuff.

Meat Bot isn't usually worth my energy though. He consistently posts the same refuted crap over and over. Valid ususally, but not when it's been done a million times.

Part of the problem with these persons is they are like unto Korihor and they teach falsehoods and seek to turn the hearts of the people. I have seen people who didn't know better suddenly wonder at a 'belief' of the LDS church. I think the time has come to no longer simply ignore them, but to force them to follow the rules of this forum - which includes not posting anything which is offensive. When they do, report them. Time to throw out the money-changers!

Why?

When I was first baptized and I had the excellent opportunity to go on a tour of a newly built temple before it's dedication, there was a massive throng of mean people handing out pamphlets and holding up signs saying "Mormons worship the evil God MorMor" at the worst, and at the best, they were screaming that the BoM was wrong b/c there were no horses in pre-White People America and the usual poppycock.(I laugh--I'm native American--I guess we didn't deserve to have transportation back then, eh?)

It's laughable now, but I hate to wonder how these weird little tidbits snowball into bizarre stuff like this--and then gets disseminated to the public.

Yes, I know I am entertaining people by answering their ridiculous questions, but if there is one little thing that I can do to squash one of these stupid ideas, I am all for it.

I love my church, that's why. Sometimes the people in it can be doo-doo heads, but it makes me love them even more.

I don't reply to comments that are crude and offensive. Once in a great while, they will say something worth my time. Once in a while, I will burst their balloon. I don't see any point in arguing for it's own sake. Where there is contention, the Spirit will not abide.

You are right. I don't usually bother to respond to sacreligious comments such as those. I try to respond to sincere questions. It is a mockery for such wicked people to be making ridicule of that which is sacred. To try to explain the sacred purpose to such people is tantamount to biblically casting our pearls before swine. Yes, such behavior is swinish.

I am a Mormon and Jesus is the light and the truth. I love him and he loves me. Mormonism teaches us Christ's truths. I love the LDS Church. It is awesome. I have gotten closer to Christ thru the LDS church than at any other time in my life!
