What clothing should an eight year old have? Like how many of each thing? In your opinion.
Include all forms of clothing, even jakets and stuff.

Thanks is advance.

God Bless xx

Two weeks worth of clothes should be the minimum, but having more is fine. T-shirts are common and cheap, so you can stock up on his favorite designs and logos or buy solid colors. Socks, underwear are also cheap. If you have the space, you can load up on them as well.

I think it all depends on the amount of laundry you are willing to do. If you do laundry everyday, you could swap between two sets of clothes all year round. That is sure to get him teased at school though.

Here is my opinion on actual numbers:

Pants: 7 Pair
Underwear: 14 Pair
Socks: 14 Pair
Shoes: 2 Pair
Jacket: 1 light "windbreaker", 1 medium "hoodie" or similar weight, 1 heavy "winter" and in extreme cold..1 snowmobile suit.
Hats: 2-3 Winter caps that cover the ears. They do get wet, so you definitely need more than 1.
Gloves/mittens: 2 pair for cold weather
T-Shirts: 10-20 depending on space
Nicer collar shirts: 10-20 subtract T-shirt quantity and have rest "nicer" styled shirts

If one does laundry twice a week, you can cut the pants/shirts/underwear/socks numbers in half.

I like my kids having those "play clothes" and school clothes at that age. So keep those beat up blue jeans and older t-shirts for after school "fun" that kids certainly like to have. You won't go ballistic on the boy/girl when they tear stuff up or muddy it.

Have a couple of complete "nice" outfits for more formal events or family functions and parties or church, if you go... Those clothes should only be worn to those functions, probably.

I'd say something that is appropriate to their age. At least 2 jackets (in case one gets dirty). And at least a weeks worth or more of the other stuff (shirts, pants, socks, etc.), so that laundry doesn't have to be done every day.
