1.) If the human soul enters the body at the moment of conception, and cells sometimes spontaneously split to form identical twins, at what point does the second soul come to inhabit the second zygote? Or does the soul get split into two as well?

2.) In the case of of a "parasitic twin" like Lakshmi, what happens to the second soul when the two embryos merge together? Does she now have a "double soul", or do the souls merge as well, or does the second soul get "recycled" somehow?

3.) If the parasitic twin had a soul in it at some point, did the doctors who removed it in order to give this girl some semblance of a normal life commit murder?

Take a look at the photo, and remember this is a little girl, not some abstract theory.

If souls did exist, I'd say the place of residence would be the brain, and there only appears to be one from the picture. The parasitic twin is just a twisted mass of spare parts, not a person. Grim.

Personally I wouldn't place conception as the point at which a soul would enter the embryo. I believe the bible says something along the lines of that happening when it's heart begins to beat and it has it's own blood flow. Before that it's alive but doesn't posses the 'spark' that makes it an individual.

Some good thoughts here.

The second twin was never fully formed, however, and was thus absorbed into the first twin. But there was no second heart, or head, that would indicate a separate being.

So I truly don't believe that there was a second soul. It was just limbs and a few extra organs. An incomplete mass of human flesh and bones.

This WAS an interesting story, though.

I think it's a bit mature for an eight year old. She is not quite at the age where she can understand romance like in twilight. Maybe in a few years...Twilight is just such a physically romantic book, not appropriate for an eight year old in my opinion.

Hi Mate,

What a brilliant thinkin.!!!

I dont know to think like you but i would like to give my view point..

"It was desting she was born like that...
It was destiny that she had to get operated to remove them...
It is destiny that a Good Soul gas survived"

I go by the Bhagaved Gita Quote:

"What Happened is for Good.
What is Happening is for good
What is going to happen is for good"

I hope thats answers your third question....

For the first question... Both Zygotes gets inhabitated simultaneously by 2 different souls

For the second question Lakshmi has only one soul....

Cheers

I dont believe a soul would enter until a foetus is completely functioning
I am unsure when that is .. I think round about 20 weeks ?

I also believe that in the case of conjoined twins , there would be two souls IF both bodies are functioning

in this instance ... no I do not believe the doctors who removed it commited any murder

Souls are like single celled organisms. One can split and for two souls, not 2 half souls. Aw, who am I kidding, souls are just made up.

Maybe this can help give you the answer. Probably it will give more questions though.

Great question. I notice you haven't received any straight answers from soul-at-conception believers.
