the old testament in its original form (torah) was around at the time of christ. this is how JC fufilled the prophets signs of messiahship. Of course this is known as post-fulfillment, that is to say, the books of the new testament were written in such a way that they make it sound as though JC fufilled the visions of the old time prophets, any gospels that contradicted these sayings were subsequently removed banned and burned by the catholic church. When the so-called "gnostic gospels" were unleashed upon the world catholicisms true nature became known. they were never about historical accuracy, but about deifying a political "freedom fighter" IE TERRORIST...to maintain control over the populace. Constantine instituted the catholic church as a type of imperial gestapo/secret service for the roman empire and the the roman empire lives on today in the vatican and the US among other countries notably western europe

The bible is a collection or works written by men. Some before Jesus, some after. The final Bible was finalized at the council of Nicea, after Jesus's death. I trust myself. I used what was "said" by Jesus in the Bible (as well as what was left out at the Council of Nicea). If it felt right, good... if not, sorry... of no use to me.

Jesus came first.
"Jhn 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jhn 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Jhn 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Jhn 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Jhn 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Given that Jesus and the Bible never contradict each other, I trust them both equally.

Jesus is the Word in the Bible. The words of the Bible exist eternally because Jesus exists eternally. You cannot separate the two. Whoever claims to know Jesus but rejects the Bible, doesn't know Jesus. They are fake.

The bible came first. Jesus never existed. He was a fictional character created by Hellenized Jews that wanted to introduce elements of Greek philosophy into Judaism.
