Luke 14:27-30
27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?

Jesus is giving an example of what it means to carry ones cross, the cost of discipleship. To be a disciple means to count the cost and then pay it.

That's what a loan from the bank is for. I don't think too many towers are built anymore, usually ranch or two story single family home.

You should give credit where credit is due for these questions you pose. You are not the original author of these questions, as it was Our Lord Jesus Christ or one of his blessed Apostles who asked these questions in the Holy Bible.

No one would deny that they are interesting and spiritually-enriching, but there are laymen on this forum who do not know that these are biblical verses.
