the answer by the way is NO.
if any of you think that the answer according to evolution is yes, PLEASE learn some more about evolution.
humans are not better or more evolved than any other animal that is alive today.
humans have larger brains. this is true
but can you build a spiders web?
can you change colour and texture to camoflage with the environment?
can you sprint at 75 miles per hour?
of course humans can do things that are unique to humans, but all animals fulfil their particular niche better than any other animal, and it works perfectly well for survival. it just so happens that humans are best at being intelligent.

to say that humans are more evolved than any other animal is very arrogant.
all animals need to be evolved enough to survive, and that is exactly what they are doing. there is no scale of evolution, with humans at the top.

"Wow, you are just too smart for us. And many humans are NOT very good at "being intelligent""
so i see...thankyou

"I can not build a spiderweb. Because I do not have the proper glands for performing such a task, it has nothing to do with intelligence."
fine...but why is intelligence your sole indicator of greatness. intelligence just happens to have been advantageous to our survival, and web building ability just happened to be advantageous for this spiders. we both do our own thing best

"Humans have developed the ability to use language."
why is that better than building a web?
other animals have no need or desire to build computers, or talk in language, and we have no need or desire to build a web.

"Humans can't do those things because they've adapted and developed more efficient and effective ways of doing them.
"
EXACTLY...and ANIMALS dont do the things that humans can do because they have their own way of doing it that works best for them.
i dont think you actually understand what my argument is, because you have essentially agreed with it

"If evolutionist think we evlolved from monkeys,,why are there still monkeys? If we were able to evolve,,why didn't the rest of the animal world evolve,,,you think frogs really like being frogs bouncing around dragging there butts on the ground all day?"
LOL you are serious!
to answer your questions
1. . you question could be compared to asking if americans came from europeans, why are there still europeans..you see how silly you are now?
besides, evolutionists do NOT think that we evolved from monkeys. we both evolved from a now DISTINCT common ancestor.
2. yes, frogs love it, why wouldnt they?

Not exactly. Since evolution is really just adapting to your environment.
"but can you build a spiders web?
can you change colour and texture to camoflage with the environment?
can you sprint at 75 miles per hour?"
What would that have to do with anything? Evolution isn't about reaching some pinnacle of perfection with lots of 'super abilities'. If our environment changed radically to where we lived outdoors in the midst of another ice age, natural selection would likely move us closer to what our distant ancestors looked like.
And that's essentially what scientists have been saying. It's just that people like to think of themselves as 'special'. Which leads them away from science.
This doesn't mean "Less or More evolved" doesn't exist.
Simplified definition of Less Evolved = your environment is killing you off.
Simplified definition of More Evolved = You're at equilibrium with your environment.
So maybe the full circle answer is , maybe. We seem to be adapting the environment to better suit us at the expense of monkeys. Nature could of course slap us down soon but for the moment monkeys aren't doing so well at adapting to how fast we're changing their environment and yet we seem pretty comfy in ours.

At first I thought this was dumb question that everyone would get but clearly you caught a lot of people with their pants down.

I disagree.
Humans have developed the ability to use language. While some apes have learned rudimentary sign language, we're able to type, speak various languages, and use other systems of language to communicate volumes of information to each other.
Whereas one monkey might have to show another the process of finding food, humans can read another's chronicle of this task in a book or watch a video, or (gasp) talk to each other and acquire most of the necessary knowledge to replicate this task.
Animals certainly in many cases have fulfilled the needs that their particular niche demands, but come on, some aren't particularly demanding. Look at the 3-toed sloth, it needs trees and a lack of predators to survive, that's not terribly challenging.
I think humans are the only animal that can create their OWN niche by developing their own technologies and systems of knowledge to build upon.

Things don't always evolve the way we think they would. Blind cave fish are a perfect example. While not having eyes may seem like a step backward to us, the fact is they really don't need them. We might think seeing our guts is gross and it would be hard to attract a mate with no pigment, but again that is something they do not require any more

No, elephants have bigger brains than humans, silly little man!
-No.
-No, but I wish I could!
-No, I can go about 20mph for 30 seconds at the most.
-I wouldn't say that humans are best at being intelligent, because if you look around, you can see that some members of our species are complete idiots.

Every living thing is as evolved as the next. I am as evolved as a pine tree. You are as evolved as a perch. We are all adapted to our environments in the way that was most beneficial to our ancestors.

Humans are at a huge disadvantage without artificial means of survival. Most animals survive quite well without any aid at all (other than a social group).
We're just different, not better.

Heh, I was ready to blast you for asking that and then I saw the post.
It's a common misconception because some evolutionary diagrams show a progression towards man. What we need to do is get science education to step up and get rid of the misconception.
