Hello,

Nice to think it is God's wrath or other hocus pocus but here is what the economists said:

1) Strong economy and big oil boom in Canada in the tar sands which though more expensive to produce, has more oil than Saudi or Iraq in reserve.

2) The real estate fiasco and bad defaults on loans in the US.

3) The US's trillion dollar plus defecit partially fueled by the Iraq conflict.

That said, a higher Canadian dollar in the long run may not be good for Canada's manufacturing sector since the prices of things will be higher for foreigners to buy and they'll look elsewhere. A higher dollar similarily will effect tourism in Canada negatively. Also Canada's dollar was higher in the 60's and 70's at various times than the US dollar and that was before gay rights or Rowe vs Wade. Actually in 1864 the Canadian dollar was worth $2.47 US.

LOL, per capita the Church of Rome is the dominant Christian religion in Canada so perhaps our Lord is pleased with that and not with the Fundies as of late. Canadians try staying secular and know better than to put "in God we trust" on the money since in reality, money is God to many.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

well hang onto your hat, because the Euro will be the new world money and the dollar is on it's way down.
Oil will soon be valued in Euros.
Only 4 months ago the dollar was strong, and now it is on it's way down..
The European Union is the New World Order of the future.
I see that the dollar has slipped even more today. The blessing of God is being taken from the USA.

It was a group of fallen angels who call themselves The Village People. They formulated their plan at the YMCA and then joined the navy under aliases. It's a little known fact but now you're privvy.

It's not godless. In fact, the Canadian dollar is protected by it's own patron deity, Loonie, the holy waterfowl of fudiciary responsibility.

Those who worship Loonie are well rewarded for their efforts. Earlier this week, I emptied my spare change jar, and found it contained $200 in loonies, and another $150 in toonies!!

Woot!! Much beer for me this long weekend!!!
