Look at it this way, all your coworkers are getting the same one so none of them will have seen the "real" invitation.
Let's be real though, it's the fact that you're inviting them that's special, not the piece of paper. You can even invite them in person.

Yes of course it is. I mean shop bought invites are as good as the other. I mean you could always say you ran out of invites and the printers where busy and couldn't guarentee that they would be with you in time. (unless your marrying next year!!!!) I made my own invites and they where more personal but that doesnt matter now anyway as I am going through a divorce. Its irrelevant really as to whether they are told, made bought or printed invtes the only thing that should matter is that your friends can attend your big day. If they think that they have got rubbish invites then its not worth inviting people like that anyway also people dont say to other people what was your invite like was it the same as mine? Theyre just glad they are there. Its your day not theres enjoy it stress free.

One of my colleagues sent around an e-mail!
I did go to a cousin's wedding once, and noticed the honoured guests got a formal printed invitation, where mine was a shop bought one with details handwritten in. Felt a bit inferior, and that I was probably an afterthought. But that was for the actual wedding. In your situation you are treating all the people in one group alike, so go for it.

Im sure your work collegues would not mind shop bought invertations, you are being realy nice in inviting them i expect they would not pay that much attension to detail.
At the end of the day its what you feel compfortable with, sticking to your budget is very important.
Keep in mind its your day,you have already impressed your work collegues thats why they are your friend.Which ever invertation you choose im sure ither of them will be gladly excepted.
I hope you have a beautifull wedding lol

Why not, real friends won't mind at all. In one place that I worked at a colleague put an A4 notice up in the staff room and invited us all to the evening 'do' cheap and very effective....

I have the same problem as you! I am handmaking my invitations and haven't got time/can't afford to do them all so some of mine will be shop bought. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. And i doubt anyone else will, its your day and to be honest i don't think people really care what the invitations look like, they'll end up in the bin after the event. thats why i'm only handmaking my close family and friends and ceremony invitations.

I don't think people will sit around and compare invites, so use whatever you like. If, by chance, someone asks, just say that you ran out of the first ones and couldn't get more in time.

Yes of course it is, you must do what you want to do. You don't want to go over your budget if it is an issue and due to this get the shop brought ones

I think all the invitations should match, and they should be invited to both the cermony and the reception.

yes it's fine. It's OK to send shop bought invites of any sort. Not everyone goes for bespoke invites
