No.

Statistics prove that 99.9% of all Garys were born that way. Really. It's like their moms took one look at them and said "Whoa! This is a Gary if I ever saw one!" So they should have equal rights just like George Straits.

No I think that when gary was born his parents named him that. During the first few years of gary's life he did not really get to choose to many things at all. Now that gary is older I guess it is choice if he wants to change his name to Sam or John or whatever. So the answer to your question would be - depending on how old gary is - baby gary = no choice; Adult gary = choice.

Yes, and no. You can be born that way, in which case you're stuck being gary until you reach an age in which you can legally change from gary to, oh, let's say elizabeth. But you can always stay gary if you choose, or even become gary if you think it suits you better than say, ben dover, or ima les bien.

Gary can't help being who he is, but he actually could choose to not be called "Gary," if he legally changed his name--so in that respect, at least, being "Gary" is a choice.

Who's Gary?

Yes, being Gary is definitely a choice. If your name is Gary and you don't like it you can have it changed. If Gary happened to be gay it would not be a result of his own choice. That he cannot change.

Being gary is not a choice. If that's what your parents named you, you're kind of stuck with it unless you go through the legal process to change it.
