Let me put it this way... lots of people felt intuitively that Iraq really was a threat to America because of the weapons of mass destruction the country was alleged to be producing. The person in power believed it despite evidence to the contrary. Need I say more?

That humans tend to BELIEVE in what feels right is at the bottom of every problem in the world - it's the broad path that leads to destruction because it is based on defensive conditioning.

But, KNOWLEDGE is something else entirely. We can know NOTHING for certain, until we give up believing altogether.

that's no longer a faith and spirituality question. it incredibly is a scientific question, and the respond has already been desperate to be confident. Animals experience discomfort. i'm specific it is likewise actual that fetuses, having worried systems, experience some discomfort. it does not look to learn them plenty, considering that discomfort is a few thing that evolves to spur animals to action, and fetuses can not take action, yet considering that they are going to ultimately gain this, discomfort receptors could boost earlier beginning. consequently, it sort of feels logical to boost abortion concepts that are as prompt as possible. because it stands, they are already fairly rapid in terms of the incredibly termination of the embryo or fetus, no longer counting the accompanying scientific care of the girl. in assessment, animals on production unit farms go through plenty longer, no longer only for the time of their slaughter yet for the time of their confinement. If animal slaughter could be as rapid (and likewise as absent of worry, an important ingredient) as a scientific abortion, and if the harsh confinement era did no longer exist, this could be an excellent progression. nevertheless, discomfort isn't the only reason human beings decide for for being vegan or no longer, and professional-life or no longer. there is the project of man or woman rights, and to me, permitting each and every being the excellent to control what happens interior her or his own physique is the optimum possible ethical stance. only as i does not kill a woman, yet enable her to get an abortion, i does not kill a cow, yet (if her species had superior the technologies), enable her to end her being pregnant, besides. the only reason this does not arise is that, for sure, cows do no longer do have the skill (and/or, in step with probability, choose) to try this. Your question means which you think of maximum professional-choicers are vegan. Do you quite think of this?

I think there's some kind of middle ground. sometimes I use my emotional mind ,sometimes I use my objective mind.
for exampe, sometimes,I choose to ignore evidence,
If I must change or confront a challenge- then I use blind faith in myself, as a form of courage-I tell myself -it's only mountains and the sea, there is nothing stronger than me, and I charge forward then overcome challenges.

I tend to go with what evidence suggests.

Intuition is a strong ally when used by those with whom you agree, and clear evidence of muddled thinking when used by those with whom you do not agree.
Let's go with best evidence.

I'm starting to think that some people place more value on a religion for the way it makes them feel than they do on whether it can be proven to be true. That's fine, but I'd really love for them to admit it.

I think a combination of the two, when evidence backs up instincts and vice-versa, is the best, .
