Magley64, that's why there are many ungodly people in churches. They are the real "infidels".

to believe in God means that you have total faith and trust that he sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sisns, that He loved us SO much, that he sent the ultimate sacrifice...you have to truly believe he is Lord, accept him to take over your life, and try to be the best person you can be...which even for me is difficult. Once you believe in Him, the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of you. It is truly an incredible feeling

No idea.

One reason why I can't believe in a all-powerful being is that I would never be able to trust something with that much power. That and the fact that people didn't always believe in god(s) means that religion was created and it didn't always exist. I could go on and on for days about why I don't think god exists, but it really wouldn't answer your question, huh?

Trust in the Lord. I believe in continuely having in faith. Also, knowing that God will protect us from the evils of the world and restore salvation into our hearts. God is a good God. Yes, God does exist, he is appart of us all. Think about when you have a certain hunch or intuition and people want to say it's a coincidence. I don't think things are a coincidence. I know that their is a higher plain of existence out there watching over ALL of us. I do trust in the Lord and I know that he'll make away out of know way.

Nothing, the devils believe and tremble, (James 2:19). They are used to answer this question to demonstrate how lost one can be although they "believe in God". That said, it is also said that one cannot come to God unless he believes that God is, and that He is a re warder of those that seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6). If you want to obtain the reward of your belief it must have an object(ive). That object can be none other than Jesus Christ Himself. When we understand that without Him (God e.i. Jesus Christ as the 2nd part of the Holy Trinity) and we seek Him, Jesus Himself promised we'd find Him when we seek Him with all our heart. Then it is a matter of coming to Jesus and placing all our trust for the after life, upon Him. Period, salvation then becomes ours as a free gift. Gift, not to purchase, not to obtain by trying in our feeble human manner of works, just to trust Jesus that what He did on Calvary is sufficient and acceptable to the Father on our behalf for what is required by our sins.

When you surrender your heart to God--you will have a peaceful feeling and when you do something that is not in HIS will--he will tell you through your conscience that it is wrong. You have to totally give your life to HIM--no you won't be perfect--Jesus is the only perfect one. God knows we mess up and sin--but he forgives us--HE sent his son Jesus to die for our sins. Before Jesus sacrificed his life--there were animal sacrifices made and there was a veil in the temple and you could not go behind that veil. When Jesus died--the veil was torn down so you could go directly to HIM in prayer with no blood sacrifices required--HIS blood covered all sin--past, present and future. Faith is the key word here--you have to believe in HIS WORD--study the BIBLE and HE will show you the way. I came from a family that did not go to church and teach me about God. But someone else led me and once I found HIM, I was not afraid anymore. I knew he would take care of me--and HE has. Pray the prayer--and he will show you HIS love. God Bless YOU!

Paul said: Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Blessed be Jehovah,The God of Abraham, who daily carries the load for us, The true God of our salvation. For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name, in that you have ministered to the holy ones and continue ministering. May the God of Abraham bless you and protect you. Amen.

I think that believing in God mean that you believe in His existence and accept God in your life. Believing in the existence of God but living a life without Him isn't exactly "believing in God."

To believe in God is to hand over your body and soul for Him to create and innovate in His name
Receive His Plan and walk through it
Love Him and believe He is the solution of all the problem
Pray hard and work hard

When you are young, you believe in your mom and dad. You know they exist and you love to please them. And, you feel bad when you displease them. Believing in God is similar, except God is perfect, so we can trust what he tells us in the Bible. From time to time we see or hear things that challenge our faith. No matter what, we can always trust that he'll be there for us.
