The Western Church must give up all their innovations and return to the old belief and if they do this, and only if thy do this will I support any attempt at union with the Western Church. Western Christianity has divrged greatly from it's roots.
Among the Roman catholics there is the concept of the develpment of doctrine which at he heart states that the aith was not compleatly deivered to the aposltes but must be further defined refined and debated. This is the reason they beelive in Purgatory and we Orhodox don't why they have papal infalibility and we don't. While the protestants remove from the faith and create their own doctirne. These modifications at their heart raise the question was the truth dilivered or not?
When ROman catholics say one can beleive what ever they want until some thing is defined I ask then why is a definition needed now..when there was none for 2,000 years?

The Eastern Orthodox Churches that are not in full communion with the Pope split off on their own accord. There have been dozens of attempts to reconcile this schism, but until Papal Authority is re-adopted by the East there is no hope of a rejoinder.
