From Wikipedia:

"The first-known uses of the terms "Judeo-Christian" and "Judeo-Christianity", according to the Oxford English Dictionary, are 1899 and 1910 respectively, but both were discussing the emergence of Christianity. The term is sometimes used in politics as a shorthand for religious influences upon Western culture."

As to their disagreeing - about some points, of course, but they both grow out of the same tradition. Jesus was a Jew, after all. I have heard more recent references to the "Judeo-Christian-Islamic" tradition. Or to all three being refered to as Abrahamic religions, since all three see themselves as being decended from Abraham.

Actually, if most religions spent more time talking to each other and less time fighting they'd find that they agree on more than they disagree on , especially regarding the big picture.

"judeo-christian" refers to Christianity sharing the Talmud and similar beliefs with its parent religion. I'm not sure when the term was first used, but it is likely to have been around for awhile.
