OpenOffice has Impress which is just like Powerpoint, but it's FREE! (And has some features that Powerpoint doesn't.)
You can open Powerpoint files in Impress and save files as Powerpoint files.

Ditto the above: OpenOffice is the best. Another possibility with a more "refined" (you might say) GUI, and also free, is IBM Lotus Symphony: http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/home.jspa
