Do your wall color in a lighter green, like "Coastal Plain" by Sherwin Williams, and the trim in "antique white."

Finish the floors in a nice rich cherry stain. It will look beautiful!

Walls neutral ... almond, egg shell, vanilla, off white. Trim .... same or slightly darker shade same color. Floors .... honey colored with a Karastan oriental rug that has small amount of sofa color. Size of rug .... 4 X 6 or 5 X 9 in front of sofa. Accent pillows on sofa ... slighter darker than trim and with tiny bit of sofa and rug colors.

Your wall color should accent your furniture (or vice-versa). Darker colors will make the room appear smaller. It all comes down to what you like. You are the one living there and looking at the scheme everyday.
