We have a brain, and a body. The mind is a result of information gathered by our senses, stored, and compared to previous information. In other words, the mind exists because of change in our perception over time.
There is no such thing as a soul.

I think there is something more to a person, then just the physicality of the brain/body. You might want to call it a soul, but that is the word that people have used to refer to this concept, and, as such, seems to have a good number of negative associations attached to it.
I've often felt that the argument that the Ghost in the Shell (a concept that i like a bit better) arises spontaneously from the complexity of the human brain, makes about as much sense as claiming that Windows (or a better example, Linux) arises spontaneously from the complexity of your computer system.
Ghost in the Shell, or , maybe thinking of the brain as a computer, and that, what we are, is, in fact, the program that runs on this computer.

Yes I do. I believe the soul is either connected or disconnected from God. When the Holy Spirit comes into our soul, He causes us to see and understand truth. . .the truth of Christ.
The eyes of our soul have been opened and we know good and evil which keeps us from the tree of life. But Jesus came to reconnect us to God and take away our evil by His blood and give us access to the tree of life everlasting.

whilst there is unity between them then this is attractive. yet a techniques without physique or a physique without techniques are unnatural and a physique and techniques without soul is horrifying. So the soul may be. And soul is the essence of one's being, it rather is what makes us be here interior the now. it somewhat is not the techniques, it somewhat is not the physique or thoughts. it rather is that which could journey those issues. i might equate soul with information interior the 2d. yet as we are able to word, our potential to observe fluctuates, meaning that the soul isn't what it rather is. it rather is something which could be stepped forward so as that when the physique and techniques die, information can proceed being conscious interior the now.

the mind is a symptom, a result of the functions of the body. the soul is a fictional creation of the mind.
