What about murder, child molesting, war, starvation, disease, persecution, greed, unsustainable population growth, religion, torture, rape and so on? Wouldn't those be rather more of a worry than whether Fred down the road happens to fancy men or women? I mean, as an example of a completely screwed up sense of perspective, this takes some beating, does it not?

Westboro has its fundamentalist agenda, and scapegoating gay people seems to serve that agenda.

Dude , it basically is. contained in the Bible, a million Corinthians 6:9 Do you no longer recognize that the unrighteous received't inherit the dominion of God? do no longer be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites. contained in the unique greek, that is extra like "nor catemites, nor pederasts", yet those words are literally not in elementary use lately. in case you could determine a mistranslation to wriggle out of that one, attempt Romans a million:26-27 26 for this reason God gave them as a lot as vile passions. For even their women individuals exchanged the organic use for what's hostile to nature. 27 Likewise also the adult adult males, leaving the organic use of the female, burned of their lust for one yet another, adult adult males with adult adult males committing what's shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their mistakes which changed into due. I always wonder why some have it in so much for homosexuality, it says nothing about this being more sinful then any other of the sins in the bible, but such a huge fuss and load of hatred seems to be heaped on this. Weird.

no just hate homos and condone murder, child molestation (aka michael jackson), war, starvation, disease (aka paris hilton), persecution, etc.

its all about morality.

I guess some people's morality and the morality they learned from religion teaches them that a man giving another man a no hands proctology exam is worse than murder.

Overblown egos that are lacking altruism are the biggest PROBLEM to mankind, but I wouldn't call it a "curse" since I don't believe in such things... I call it "bad karma" to take rebirth in a world that hates people based on various incorrect perceptions.

I think so. Mention of homosexuality as a sin was no where in the 10 Commandments and as far as how it is sinful in the Jewish Law is up for much debate.

ya, you'd have to have some serious problems to believe that. not too many people would say that...

of course, maybe there's some poor little boy who was raped daily by gay men and thus has a psychotic hatred for homos. who knows.

Actually, the greatest curse to mankind is 'hobosexuality.' There is nothing sadder than homeless people who have no place to have sex.
