I just got them about twos ago, and my one cockitiel I think is female picks and bites at the male I think he is male they have the matched markings of what I believe to be male and or female anyway.. she picks at his beak or bites it, at one point she made him bleed and there was blood lots of it all over my wall and the cage, so I seperated them for a while, then felt guilty and put her back in after a few days, although she doesn't pick at him as much or bite as much she is still doing it, but she haasn't picked or bite so hard to make him bleed this time, What and why is this and what should I do.... thanks in advance.

I would get another cage and put it side by side with the old one. Then when you have time, you can let them out to socialize with one another, but when you have to leave or something, put them in their seperate cages so no one gets hurt while you're not watching.

I have two Cockatils, both males. One is constantly picking the others head, which is completly bald. I am not sure who is the instigator, but putting them in seperate cages just makes them depressed. The only way I can get them to stop is to spray them with anti-feather picking spray. If you find a soltion please let my know. Good Luck!

I have Two cockatiels but in seperate cages. When I let them both out at the same time, they alway peck at each other. With cockatiels you cannot determine gender just by thier coloration.
