By preaching lies and untruths to the gullible who WANT to believe in manmade doctrines.
They [preachers] are liars and are misleading the lot of man because most are too lazy to search out the scriptures for themselves, but instead rely on the slickness of greedy men who sell wolf tickets and get fatter and richer off the foolish.

There are many preachers misleading the masses of people because they are preaching. What I mean by this is that many that are preaching have not been called of God, but are doing it because they listened to some prophecy given by some one or they just want the position. Others are ministers of the devil. They are both dangerous because the devil's ministers will preach what people want to hear, those things that appeal to the flesh and because many who listen do not and will not test what is preached by the scriptures they will be misled. Those who have not been called by God will not preach in the power of the Holy Spirit because they are out of place and many of them misinterpret the scriptures. But either way the people are just as responsible and accountable to God as the preachers. Last but not least there are many preachers in the pulpit who have never been born again as is those who are in the pews. There are more counterfeit Christians who do not know they are counterfeits than there are real Christians.

Many preachers mislead their listeners with false doctrines, but God sometimes uses them for His purposes.

I think a lot of preachers now of days preach a sugar coated message. They don't want to upset or offend any one in the congregation. So the message is almost always a feel good message. Sin needs to be shown for what it truely is.

Ezekial 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

by picking on things that many would see as trivial in the scheme of things. for example, the fuss over the upcoming movie "the golden compass", i'm sure that has been the topic of many sermons lately. is that a bigger issue to people than all of the tragic events in the world?
