It's not likely you have anywhere to fry it yourself if you live in the city, but boy is it good.

If you can't find one already fried, look for the new electric turkey deep fryers. They are rated safe for indoor use. Check your local discount stores first, then check the TV shopping channels. You can sometimes get a good deal on them around the holidays.. They run around $100.00 +/-, but we use ours for a lot of different things like steaming a large quantity of oysters or clams. We use it for appetizers like fried mozzarella cheese sticks and buffalo wings. This is a big help when you're throwing a football party. You can make just one batch for the crowd instead of five or six in a smaller deep fryer. Usually, after we fry the turkey, we have anyone that wants to make use of the hot oil bring chickens or another turkey to fry so they can take it home with them. Make sure they bring a cooler to put it in if you don't have extra refrigerator space.

Try frying one for yourself. The fryers have really come down in price, and it doesn't take that long. They are delicious!
