If you are gentle with the Temp Crown, you can keep it for several months. I did that with 2 crowns. I had to save up enough money to finish paying for the finished porcelain crown.

My Dentist said it was just fine to do so.

Temps dont last a long time which is why they call them temps. If it cracks or falls off you will be out of luck and in pain. Temps arent as sturdy as regular crowns and not glued on as permanently. Permanent crown should really be in place with two weeks.

May want to let your dentist know. The stainless temps are more likely to last you that long. Some use a plastic fill for a temp crown and it probably wont last.
