Try telling that to Christians. They love their human sacrifice.

I agree, BUT I do NOT agree God did that, ever desired that, ever asked for that, ever tested for that, or had anything to do with that; that is what ancient and primitive people did and attributed to God who they feared. God doesn't even want us to fear him, but to love him! Jesus was not in actuality a replacement for the sacrificial lamb. That was the Apostle Paul's concoction he made up in order to try and make the teachings of Jesus more palatable to the Jews who still sacrificed. As the charismatic speaker made his way around, some, but not all the original Apostles went with Paul's new thing because it was then easier to convert those who believed in animal sacrifices by replacing them with Jesus' death.
So, sure on that one liner, yes, I can agree with you according to today's times, but according to the olden days of primitives they were completely honest and sincere about believing they had to sacrifice in order for God to forgive them their sins, in that respect it wasn't evil, but more just an ignorant error in judgment of who God really is. :)

when you're raised Christian the concept of Jesus as a human blood sacrifice is so ingrained that the repulsive concept appears glorious and holy. it can take years to shake the dogmatic conditioning enough to see the concept for the repellent thing it is. "covered in the blood of Jesus" is a nice mental image for Christians. for anyone with a decent moral compass it's "makes your flesh crawl" disgusting.

I'd tend to disagree.
No, I'm not playing devil's advocate. Human sacrifice was usually performed on the dregs of humanity- those who's death was an improvement.

Well Jesus dieing for human beings is really cool to Christians. So I don't think they'll agree with you. Of course if someone else did that then they would probably get upset though.

Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Actually, sacrifice itself was neither required nor desired by God. God could not be interested in – much less appeased by such slaughter of animals. David wrote, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire...burnt offering and sin offering You have not required." (Psalm 40:6) And in another place he said, "You desire not sacrifice...You delight not in burnt offering." (Psalm 51:16) The Lord repeatedly gives the same message: "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the Lord. I am full of the burnt offering of rams and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lams, or of he-goats." (Isaiah 1:11) With even stronger words, He says, "I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them." (Amos 5:21; Jeremiah 6:20; 14:21) He even states that sacrifice did not come about by His command: "For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them...concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: but this thing I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice." (Jeremiah 7:21) Clearly, sacrifice is not a penalty demanded by God.
“Though you offer me burnt offerings... I will not accept them... but let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a might stream.” Amos 5:24
How Is Christ Our Atonement?
Some people use the word "atonement" as if it implies that Christ was punished by the Father for our sins. Actually, "atonement" has no connection with punishment. It comes from "at-one-ment" and simply means "making one" or "reconciliation." In fact, "atonement" and "reconciliation" are the same word in the Greek. We might ask, Who was reconciled–God or the human race? The Bible's answer is the human race. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself." (2 Corinthians 5:19) We receive "at-one-ment", never God. "We were reconciled to God by the death of His Son.... We have received atonement." (Romans 5:10,11)

i think for somebody to think someone's life is so insignificant that they needed to be sacraficedmight have a dim veiw on life and others. even though i'm not religious but spiritual i think that life should be cherished for as long as possible...even if sometimes we have to suffer at the hands of others.

Like JW's sacrifing their congregations by getting them to refuse blood.
Note it's the xplicit demands of the member so she is prepared on 'her own free will' as a tribute of sacrifice to the real freemasonic god of the Jehovahs witnesses jabulon
based on jehovah Baal and Osirirs
These so called dark gods require human blood as tribute thats why trhere are so many sacrifices
God reuqires a sacrifice for our sin, this is why the jews sacrificed animals, but that would not reuinte them with God, God sent down his son as a spotless sacrifice so that all eho beelvie in him may have their sins forgiven and be reunited with him, like what the jews did but on a bigger scale for everbody who also wasn't jewish.
where is the sacrfiice for islam, the blood for atonement.
Islam is convicnd by doing good acts and good works their sins are forgiven. But yet they forget their favourite line of criticism, there is none good but God,
there was no good thing that Adam could do to be forgiven for him sin, God had to kill a calf and use its blood for Adams forgivness, with the skin he made clothes.
Islam gets its sacrfices unwittingly to its memebers by suicidie bombers.
This way they can sacrifice many and keep allah appeased.
This is what people see as the dark side of islam but it is the unknown fuel source which makes allah grow in power.
For every decent moderate muslim who thinks his religeon grows in strength as its the word of god, there is one guy being sacrificed and to make it grow
this is what every other deity requires, blood from us to grow in strength.
Except God, he requires atonement only for sin, And not by animals any more, he sent his son to be the atonement for the world.
This is what you call love, as Jesus was not guilty of anything.
Therefore God asks you to beleive hin him, as the blood of christ forgive sin.
RANZ God could not use anyone else in this way, only Jesus as he did not sin, becoming a model example for us all, the enemy is sin, not covering your head or praying 5 times a day.
God did not have to sacrifice his son, but he made a promise to Adam, you will die, and be nothing but Dust. If Adam simply went to heaven after this then there would be no point of sending Jesus along would there now...
He sent him to bring man out of the ground, he didn't have to seeing as he gave man a paradise in the first place, God so loveth the world that he sent his only son to die for us, so whosoever beleivth in him will not perish (by their sin) but have eternal life
how does not eating pork save you from sins you have already commtited?
how does beating your wife gently save you from the sins you have commited.?
Jesus sent his son to relase us from burden of death, it is permitted that every man shall die once.
By the grace of God not twice.
God bless
peace in Christ
Studious if God requires blood for atonement, as he did with adam and eve, then if you don't sacrifice animals, and don't beleive in Jesus then whose blood do you use,
