Depends.
If it is a career type position, you would want to give your 2 weeks notice, because future employers will call them and ask if you are eligible for re-hire. If you don't give the notice, they will tell you no.
If not... a Post-It note would be classy or you could go out with a bang. Stand up at the most quiet time of the day, call your boss an asshole in front of everyone, gather your things and leave. Tell the boss what you really think about him/her. Maybe it would make it easier for everyone else who is thinking the same.

Giving enough notice is the most respectful thing. Type up a nice letter stating that you are giving your 2-weeks notice effective of this date and your last day of work will be X day. State that you have enjoyed the opportunity of working with this company or some other nice comment but you will now be moving on to other opportunities. Leaving without dishing on your bad boss is the best thing because you may need a reference from them later and you want to leave on good terms so they will give you a good reference. Good luck!

A NICE way to quit your job is to give two weeks notice. (at least). Even nicer would be to offer to stay until your replacement is trained and ready to assume your role.
My advice would be that before you give notice that you have another job in hand. If you don't you might just have to go back to your boss begging for your old job back. Every mean boss's fantasy!

I'm not a big risk-taker, so what I've done in that situation is use my hateful energy to fuel my job search. Write a really great resume and spend your spare time looking for a new job. When you find one, write a friendly resignation letter and give two weeks' notice. Your boss will have a new headache when he tries to find someone to replace you, and deep down he'll know that beneath your friendly resignation letter lies a hateful subtext.

If I have been you,i could seem to make certain if there have been any jobs obtainable with listings on greater effective than you're being paid, till now you gave your 2 weeks be conscious.I advise in case you like the interest you're on,then wait to make certain approximately any adjustments for attempting to up the stakes on attempting to examine another interest.by means of fact merely you realize what you're sturdy at doing, and interior the destiny, you may result not liking the different interest, and then want you hadn't left the only in which you're working now.each and every so often exchange and getting greater journey could be a plus, yet each and every so often it may additionally act like a double-edged sword as properly, and be pushed against you if not used properly in step and timing.understand that,if not the rest that I say to you.

Never burn a bridge if you can help it. Although you hate your boss, did he/she harass you into quitting or are you leaving on your own terms? If it's the latter, you write a polite letter of resignation informing them that you are resigning, thanking the company for your time there and the date of your last day of work. That's it.
If you boss has harassed you into quitting, hire a lawyer.
Best,
-- Andy

Make an appointment to see your boss and say that you truly regret having to leave but here ( and give him a letter of resignation) is your resignation letter due to personal family reasons. If he persists in wanting to know why, make up something since you do want a good reference from him at your next position. then after you have told him first, you may tell your co workers that you will miss them.

You write a letter of resignation thanking the company for the opportunity of working there and give your two week notice. Though you hate your boss, you still want a good reference from him so don't burn any bridges.

The nice way is to give them 2 weeks notice. You don't have
to tell them you have another job or anything like that. Just
that you are quitting and you are letting them know, make sure
to put it in writing from what date (the day you are giving notice) to what date (the last day you are working for them). Keep
a copy for yourself and give them a copy.
