I can't help but feel overwhelmingly blessed as of late. I guess it's all about your perception.
Many blessings to you all...

Absolutely. When I'm struggling with something, I turn to my Bible. It's unbelievable how many times I open it to verses that directly address how I'm feeling or handling something.

The same thing applies to interacting with others. My dear friend recently lost her husband. I opened my Bible right to a verse that directly addressed death and comforted her enormously.

Somehow it's possible to feel even closer to Him during the hard times.

thank you for that good report K girl. It is true. Even when we are struggling we should praise the Lord. The bible says to give thanks in everything. The devil wants us to be anxious and worry about things around us. But God inhabits the praises of His people. In the middle of bible college my employer was playing devil music over the intercom all day. I left that job over 2 years ago and have not worked full time since. But I graduated from school with very high grades and God has taken care of me the whole time. I have traveled to the gulf coast 6 times for Katrina cleanup trips. This summer I went to Peru for a week on a missions trip. Twice I went to week long prayer conferences and last summer I went to Jackson,Mississippi for a national right to life conference. I go out on the streets every week with my pastor for street ministry and meet every tuesday in church for prayer, saturday for men's prayer breakfast and two services on sunday. All this without a full time job. God has really blessed me, To Him be the Praise and Glory.

Absolutly. Doesn't mean I don't get down or dejected. Just means I know that God has blessed me beyond compare and even though I may be in a storm, my life is blessed of God and I know He will see me through! He never leaves us nor forsakes us so He is always with us no matter what. All we have to do is whisper His name!

I've been rich and I've been poor.
I've been healthy and I've been at death's door more than a few times.
I've been lucky and I've been unlucky.

Through it all, I felt blessed that i was alive to have the opportunity to even experience all these things.

If you have life, you have chances to turn it around if its bad and the opportunity to help others when its going good.

So, yes...even when I am struggling...I am happy to be alive. And THAT is a blessing.

Struggle is part of life. It can be used as spiritual exercise, and make one stronger, if handled well, with God's guidance. People who lead easy lives, can fall out of touch with the problems of this world, and become weak spiritually. Being strong spiritually, and being able to relate to others in need, is a really great asset to have.

Not really, its hard when life has kicked you down in the mud year after year, day after day, and actually say hey " I don't know what I did to you, but thanks for everything" Like Sarah said in Gen 25:22 If it be so, why am I thus?

Yes, because I know God is with me, even then. (Like the Footprints in the Sand poem.)
