You need to fight to get better, with every bit of your will power. Recovery is not easy for anyone, and is a real test of what you are made of spiritually. Pray/meditate, do rehabilation, eat healthy, and get helpful inspiration from all sources available. It may be quite a struggle; others have gone through similar struggles. If you overcome this period with the right effort, you will be rewarded by God with extra character. Not having your Grandmother any more, makes it even tougher. People have over come great odds in this world many times, this is your test. Prove yourself worthy of it.

I'm sorry about your Grandma and hope you recover soon.....
Read an interesting book or better yet go to the bookstore (if you can walk around comfortably) and shop around for books
Rent a bunch of good movies (it's a long weekend ahead)
Start thinking of your shopping list for Christmas (that might be a bummer if you have a huge family....maybe it's just me)
Listen to relaxing music
Look at old pictures of family (that might be a bit nostalgic)
Make a nice cup a hot coffee or tea and relax in a bubble bath with your new book

I had quadruple bypass surgery about 5 years ago and I remember it took about 3 months before I got out of the doldums. Hang in there.

Go through your phone book. Find the name of someone you are friends with, but haven't spoken to for a very long time. Give them a call to catch up.
I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope you heal soon -- mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time.
I don't think you need to deny or overcome your feelings. You have real reason to feel sad! Go ahead and feel your feelings -- let them play out. Afterward, eventually you will begin to feel better.
Trying to repress your feelings will only harm you.

Watch TV, listen to music, write a short story, read a book, daydream, that always helps me me. Feel better!
