This was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. They were haughty and did abominable things before me; therefore I removed them when I saw it.

You've given me something to think about.
"Harm" is too general. All of these, except sex unauthorized by clergy, assuming the sex is consensual, harm somebody. To go into your "no mention" list, I don't think homosexuality is any more a sin than heterosexuality. Rape, molestation and the like are, but a sexual orientation isn't, and neither is membership in a political party, even if it's not the one your minister advocates.

I would guess "haughtiness" or pride to the extent of hubris would be the greatest sin because it would seem to give the sinner the idea that he/she was justified in doing whatever it was he/she did.

I think the worst sin is when a person denies the Holy Spirit coz the bible says there is no redemption for that person. My interpretation of 'Denying the Holy Spirit' is when a person had experienced a real relationship with God and then decided by choice to turn his back on the Holy Spirit. We are saved by grace when we repent of all other sins if we slip and fall momentarily. But at the end of the day, it's up to God what He deems is denying the Holy Spirit. He's the judge of all things.

Amongst the worst are:

1. Murder
2. Adultery - destroys the family and undermines society
3. Blasphemy - any form of denying God - gives on permission to do most anything

But perhaps the worst is destroying another person's reputation - this is worse than murder in that the victim suffers every moment of every day.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, Aheart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among the brethren.

The worst sin...?

Hmm...outside of the Big Top Ten, I'd say the worst sin is losing hope.

If you lose hope, you've basically given up on life, on everything, including your fellow man and G-d.

No matter how bad things get...you gotta have hope...for yourself.

I think it depends on the intent. Causing someone harm sounds like it's the worst, but if it was in self-defense, then maybe it's lower on the list.

Personally, I feel any kind of lying is the unhealthiest way you can live your life. It cuts you off from those you care about, causing you to feel disconnected and unable to trust anyone. Bad for the liar, bad for those close to him/her.

According to the Gospel, the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. So I guess the rest are all equal.

They are all the same. And they all come with the same price. Death. Yet only one sin is considered unforgivable. Sinning against the Holy Spirit, but in order to do that, you must have true and accurate knowledge of the Word of God and purposefully go against it.

There is no "worst" sin. In the eyes of Christ, an adulterer is the same as a murderer is the same as a thief. A sin is a sin, plain as that.

The sin the Holy Spirit convicts the world of is when those of the world reject Gods Word. They reject Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God when it was presented to them correctly & in the Love of God.

Before salvation, the worst sin is torturing to death innocent people.

The worst sin of the above? It depends on wether the act was done in complete disobedience to God.

After salvation (one is born from above, a child of God) the worst sin is what ever the Holy Spirit is convicting you of in your spirit & you refuse to repent.
