The devil is the thief, who came and Jesus who came with that given Light from his father, was of Good & Love...Makes sense!
Maybe being related to the dude, (the thief) might have some reason to be thrown out of Heaven and put here on earth, why he still exists, to be living here on earth.
It's like one big puzzel, to connect you with the kingdom of God and getting to understand it.....

In this verse the devil is being refered to as the thief. The devil is hear to kill, steal and destrly. Talking about the devil destroying peoples souls and destroying thier life. God will never forgive the devil

He is not talking about a common thief who may steal something like your money or your bicycle. This kind of thief can be forgiven.

Jesus is teaching the people that a thief comes to steal and kill. He's saying that he is not a thief since he comes to give life, not to steal and kill. It seems that you are not looking at the second half of the verse. Look at the second half of the verse, and Jesus says why he has come. If he is a thief, would he be coming to steal or to give?

I don't really believe in the Bible but I know it from front to back. This verse when talking about the thief is talking about the devil. He comes to lie, and steal, and kill, and hate, and destroy, and what not.
But Jesus is saying that he will give life to those that have been lied to by him. That have been like that thief. No sin is unforgivable.
That's how I would interpret it.

Jesus is comparing himself to the thief. The thief comes to steal, kill & destroy. Jesus came so we could have life & have life more abundantly.

The thief is the devil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. And so we could have life & have it more abundantly.

But the thief (human) also can come to repentance & receive Jesus atonement for his sins. Like the one thief on the cross.

The verse is not saying that God gives the thief life.

Instead Jesus is contrasting himself to a thief. He says he provides life where a thief takes away life. Just a few verses earlier he uses the illustration of a gate and how he protects and leads the sheep to life and robbers take the sheep and bring death.

I think it means that he is not a thief. He's comparing himself to a thief, saying that if he was a thief, he'd do bad things. He's doing good things, so he must not be a thief.

If god created people (including the thief) to live the fullest and the thief kills then it would be a contradiction. Although the killer lives the life the fullest if contfronted with jesus.
To me it makes sense
