I'm in NY too and I'm drinking good old coffee. But I love hot chocolate make with milk (instead of water). But you make a hot cider or herbal teas.

Try a brandy, it goes down warm right to your toes. Meant to be sipped. I prefer a Spanish or French type, very relaxing.

Alcoholic - hot buttered rum (make sure you use cream, though - otherwise it tastes like watered down BLAH!)

Non alcoholic - a good cappucino from a local restaurant (not a coffee shop like Starbuck's)!
